Shea Coulee Wins 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars Season 5'

The world was first introduced to Shea Coulee three years ago in 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Season 9. Instantly it was clear Shea was a winner. But, a surprise and epic move by Sasha Velour, who would go on to win that season, ended Shea's path to victory.

In the three years that followed her 2017 defeat, Shea was asked repeatedly to participate in various seasons of 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars', but she declined each time.

When former contestants participate in 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars' viewers always inevitably compare how the contestants have improved or worsened since their last appearance. Choosing when to come back is a total game of strategy. Some contestants come back and they appear worse then when viewers first met them. Other contestants, participate in 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars' way too soon since their appearance in 'RuPaul's Drag Race' and because of this they display no visible improvement to merit their return. And, then there is Shea Coulee. Shea has said she purposely waited until she felt she had improved enough and had become a stronger competitor before returning.

In a season full of legendary competitor's, such as Miz Cracker and Jujubee, Shea returned determined to go all the way this time. Her runway outfits and her unforgettable turn as Flavor Flav in "Snatch Game" showed just how much more skilled Shea had become.

On July 24, 2020, Shea finally snatched the crown in the grand finale. As part of her win, she was awarded the coveted $100,000 grand prize. With that money Shea can buy many things, although it's probably safe to say it won't be rose petals.
